Welcome to 2020.

I hope everyone has had a great break over the Holiday Season. My family went to Canberra to visit family over Christmas and New Year which was great except for the extremely bad smoke levels on a few days caused by the bushfires along the east coast of Australia. Our hearts go out to those who have lost family, friends or property and to the brave volunteer fire fighters working hard to save as much as possible. Perth on the west coast has not been directly affected.

While I was in Canberra, I had some time to edit the video footage recorded on the Great Vic Bike Ride 2019 along the Great Ocean Road.

Great Vic Bike Ride 2019 – Great Ocean Road Ride Wrap Up

As you would have seen over the last two weeks, my wife Jennifer and I have been riding on the Great Vic Bike Ride 2019 along the southern coast of Australia on the Great Ocean Road from Robe in South Australian to Torquay in Victoria. A ride taking 8 days and covering a distance of 652km.

Great Vic Bike Ride 2019 – Where is David? He is riding the Great Ocean Road

As of today, I am on a flight to Melbourne with my wife Jennifer, my single road bike and a road bike tandem. We are off to take part (with some 5,000 soon to be friends) in the Great Vic Bike Ride 2019 for 10 days.

This year the ride is starting in Robe, South Australia on Friday 22-Nov-2019 and travelling along the Great Ocean Road for 652km and arriving in Torquay, Victoria on Sunday 01-Dec-2019. With a couple of days either side for travel arrangements, I will be out of the office for two weeks.

Jennifer and I left South Africa after the GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 conference (click for the wrap-up link) and headed for Spain.

My trip to South Africa is completed and the GPUG Amplify South Africa conference is over for another year.

I am looking forward to coming back again to meet with the Microsoft Dynamics GP community in South Africa.

After a fantastic few days leading up to the conference, the first day of GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 has finally arrived.

Jennifer accompanied me on the first day to help Angie Ryan and Katie Froeber with registration and then be there later for the end of the day when there were cocktails.

I will explain more in an article soon, but I will need to be relatively brief with my coverage of the GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 conference. Needless to say Jennifer and I had a fantastic time in South Africa.

From my perspective, it was wonderful to have my wife along for the trip so she could meet some of the great people I work with… my “Conference Buddies”. That’s what I call my friends in the Microsoft Dynamics GP community that I only catch up with at conferences.

Hello from Nashville, Tennessee, USA, the “Home of Country Music” and location of this year’s Dynamics Communities User Group Summit which includes GPUG Summit along with the UGs for the other Dynamics products.

I have already been in town for a week as I came in on Friday 29^th September in preparation for the Dexterity Bootcamp training which started on Monday 2^nd October.
