Microsoft Dynamics GP – Repurposing the Connect Homepage Pane

I recently posted a method of repurposing the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2 Intelligent Cloud Insights page to show a website of your choice.

However, if you are running an earlier version of Microsoft Dynamics GP you also have the option to display a custom website by repurposing the Connect pane on the user’s Homepage.

[Edit] GP Power Tools allows control of Intelligent Cloud Insights and Microsoft Connect Homepage part systemwide without needing any Dex.ini or Modifier changes. Use the Website Settings window added in Build 28 of GP Power Tools.

To change the webpage displayed in the Connect pane requires a couple of settings added to the Dex.ini file:

DebugConnect=TRUE
ConnectTestURL=https://www.winthropdc.com/home.htm
