Updated Builds for all Winthrop Products as at 09-May-2018


David Meego - Click for blog homepageWinthrop Development Consultants is pleased to announce that updated builds for GP Power Tools, Batch Posting Service Toolkit and the free Visual Studio Integration Toolkit are now available.

Please note that these builds are required to ensure that the products remain registered after 01-Jul-2018. All customers will need to update their systems before their current subscriptions expire to avoid interruptions to their registrations.  Install over the top of the existing builds, no need to uninstall.

#VSIT Visual Studio Integration Toolkit build 13 released


David Meego - Click for blog homepageWinthrop Development Consultants is pleased to announce the release of Visual Studio Integration Toolkit (VSIT) Build 13 for Microsoft Dynamics GP.

This build incorporates changes to the underlying Registration and Update Check systems required for the transition in distribution channel to Winthrop Development Consultants. It also includes a few bug fixes.

This build needs to be installed on all workstations at all customer sites before their current subscriptions expire to ensure a smooth change over of registration systems. Install over the top of the existing build, no need to uninstall.

#VSIT Visual Studio Integration Toolkit Subscription Expiry Warnings

With the change in Registration System for Visual Studio Integration Toolkit back in November last year, the plan was to have the subscription automatically extend for another twelve months for a system as long as it was internet connected.

However, an issue was recently found that means that the subscription will not extend until after it has expired and started the 30 day grace period. Continue reading

Visual Studio Integration Toolkit now available directly from Winthrop

Winthrop Development Consultants now distribute Visual Studio Integration Toolkit directly. To ensure a smooth transition, all existing sites will need to upgrade to build 12 or later before their subscription with Mekorma expires.

Winthrop Development Consultants are proud to release updated builds for GP Power Tools, Batch Posting Service Toolkit and Visual Studio Integration Toolkit. These builds include fixes and enhancements as well as a new registration system and an automatic check for updates.

Important Note: Please update all your installed Winthrop Development Consultants products at the same time. Failure to do so will cause products not updated to be unregistered.

Updates to Installers for all Winthrop Products


David Meego - Click for blog homepageFollowing on from yesterday’s article: Visual Studio Tools: Best Practice when adding References to Projects, I wanted to highlight that all of Winthrop Development Consultants product installers have been updated to help avoid the problems caused by duplicate old DLL files in the Addins folder.

This issue is most likely with Visual Studio Integration Toolkit where developers use the toolkit from their products by adding the reference to the Dictionary Assembly DLL file.
